Copyright is the legal right to control the production and selling of a book, play, film, photograph or piece of music (source: Cambridge dictionary). Nowadays copyright applies to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete and fixed in a medium (blogs and other webpages as well).
Copyright has been internationally standardized, lasting between fifty to a hundred years from the author's death, or a shorter period for anonymous or corporate authorship.
If you would like to know more about copyright, Wikipedia has loads of resources on that topic. If you would like to read some more serious texts you can check your country's legislation. For example for USA you can find it here: copyright.gov. For Norway you can check Olav Torvund or jussportalen.no
If you wish to use any of my original material, please read the information on the right.
If you are interested in micro-stock kind of photography, unfortunately it's not a place for you. Visit ShutterStock or Getty, they get more images daily than I will ever shoot.
If you would like to use one of the popular rights managed services, please send me a note with picture's name or localisation, and name of a services you are using. I should answer you with the right link to that image.
If you are from Europe, you can easily contact me using e-mail or Facebook. If you provide sufficient information about the publication, I will most likely answer you with exact fee.
Contact me. That is the easiest way. I can be very strict if someone uses my materials with out permision. As long as you don't copy/paste and you provide links to the orginal and to my website, I should easily allow you to use my material.
Just rememer - ask first and everything should be fine.
