Week 18 – The Vampire

This photo is a bit of a reference to Week 7, I knew I would come back to the magical mirror concept. This time not the mirror, but me myself is embroiled into some alternative reality, or maybe just a magical place where vampires live…

By the way, have you ever thought how hard vampires have it? They never know if their hairdresser gave them a proper haircut!

Tech

I was shooting during a day so that there was at least a bit background visible without ridiculously long shutter speeds. Main strobe, that was boomed over the mirror, was set to 1/16th power, and it was my aperture reference.

Second strobes was lighting the wall so that the mirror’s shape was visible. Third light pointed at my suit, It was completely black without it.

News

I’m introducing some important structural changes to the website. You can already see “Like” buttons on posts and on selected images in portfolio. This little thing is connected directly to facebook. It means that if you are logged there (or use “keep logged” option) my website will connect to it via the application that I established.

By clicking Like anywhere on the site or on the app you are helping me promote the website and my photography.

Second thing is the new Similar and Recent lists under posts. I hope they will help new visitors explore MarcinRetecki.com as it grows. Here as well Facebook comes handy, but I will explain it another time.
