As you know, for last few weeks I’ve been posting street photographs. Some of them showed children, deep in their own worlds. Some showed just random people, walking by or trying to make a living on a street. Most people don’t look around. Most people don’t care what’s going on within others.
It’s not easy to show empathy. I know that. It’s easier to not think about others because then we can feel better about ourselves. I don’t expect everyone suddenly to care. No. That’s not my point.
Street photographers are a strange breed. They walk around, they saunter, they wonder, they search and stare and then maybe shoot. They see what most people don’t want to see. Then, when we look at the photos, we only know the story that a photographer would share with us. Most likely it isn’t the whole story just because they can’t know people’s thoughts, feelings, they can only guess. We can guess. And tell our own story. Think what could happen, how it will affect those people, try to imagine.
In my opinion it’s not about what happened when we look at the picture. it’s about what we feel, how it will affect us and what we will do with it.

The whole series can be viewed on my Flickr account – Street Photography.
Most of those pictures are available as prints thanks to RedBubble – Street Shots.
Thank you all for reading. Sorry for a bit grievous tone, just had to share a bit of my insight. It’s been a wonderful year with you all, only one thing I wish was that you commented more! I need your feedback! And since there is over 200 people reading this blog I would at least expect a few words from time to time! Cya next week!

One note about Redbubble. All prints are covered by a simple money-back guarantee. Since February 2007 RedBubble has shipped over 258,400 items to more than 70 countries.
It means that your order is safe. I used it myself to buy prints. They work great and I can fully recommend it.
